SARC’s 8th annual Study Union event to help prepare students for finals

Starting Dec. 3, the Student Union will be transformed into a “Study Union”, where students can come prepare and relax before final exams.

The SARC heads the process each academic year in collaboration with the SGA, OSI, Knights helping Knights Pantry, UCF Foundation Parent and Family Fund, the UCF Police and the Recreation and Wellness Center to offer students a safe and healthy environment during this critical time of year.

Among the 24-hour academic support provided by the SARC’s Supplemental Instruction Leaders and peer tutors, the OSI also live streams each of the final review sessions that are scheduled in the Pegasus Ballroom and Cape Florida.

“Each of the collaborators contributes in their area of expertise or primary function to make the Study Union a truly unique event that facilitates a strong learning environment, assists comprehension through academic support, promotes emotional and physical wellness, and offers a safe, quiet space to focus on final exams,” said Patricia Hartley, SARC coordinator of tutoring and outreach programming at UCF.

The Study Union will be in session until Dec. 8. Students can view the review sessions schedule here.
